Your guide to getting the perfect slippers

There are many reasons why warm slippers are so popular. Did you know that we take seven to ten thousand steps a day, so you need to take care of your feet, and it’s nice to also look fantastic at the same time! Our slippers are soft and comfortable against the skin and have a nice and soft inner sole to give your feet that well-deserved rest after a long day. There’s a wide selection and therefore it can be difficult to know which model to choose. That’s why we have created a short purchase guide to help you make the best decision possible.

Right size?

A brand new pair of sheepskin or wool slippers can feel a bit tight at first, but this doesn’t mean they’re too small, so start with your normal size. Sheepskin and wool are natural materials which stretch after just a few days of use and adjust to your foot and immediately feel bigger. To check that you’ve picked the correct size for your slippers, start with the heel – your heel should be edge to edge with the sole of the slippers. This means you’ve got the right size.

We wish you many wonderful moments in your new slippers.

Which model to choose?

There are many different slipper models that have specific functions.

  • Open-toe slippers: So-called mules are very trendy right now and also really practical. Thanks to their rubber sole, you can also use them outdoors. There are several with adjustable straps and a padded footbed, which is incredibly comfortable.
  • Slip-in slippers: This model is a classic. Whether it’s in the morning right after you get up or after a long day at work, you should be able to slip into your slippers and enjoy their pleasant, warming comfort.
  • Closed and mid-height slippers: This model of slippers offers the ultimate feel-good factor! The mid-height slippers are ideal for the cold winter. They’re equipped with an upper part which warms the ankles.

Clearly, it’s a tough choice with so many models. So if you can’t choose between two pairs, take both! This means your slippers will last and can be enjoyed for longer.

Can you wash your sheepskin slippers?

Our advice

It’s best to avoid machine washing your slippers as this can damage them and distort their shape. But there are simple ways you can clean and care for your sheepskin slippers in the best way and the right way.

CLEANING GUIDE FOR SHEEPSKIN SLIPPERS:

  • Cleaning with lukewarm water and mild soap solution: Fill a container with lukewarm water and add a mild soap solution. Make sure you choose a soap that’s safe to use on sheepskin. Use a clean cloth or sponge to gently wipe the surface of your slippers. Avoid getting them too wet and make sure not to rub too hard.
  • Use specialised detergent: If you prefer to use a special detergent designed for sheepskin, follow the instructions on the packaging. These detergents are gentle on the sheepskin and help preserve its natural properties.
  • Stretching and softening: When you’re done cleaning, it’s important to stretch and soften the sheepskin while it’s still damp. Gently shape and rub the sheepskin with your hands to restore its shape and softness.
  • Air drying in a warm room: After cleaning and stretching, allow your sheepskin slippers to air dry naturally. Place them on a clean towel or a drying rack in a warm room. Avoid placing them near or on a heating element, as excessive heat can damage the sheepskin.
