1. End poverty in all its forms everywhere

By 2030, build the resilience of the poor and those in vulnerable situations and reduce their exposure and vulnerability to climate-related extreme events and other economic, social and environmental shocks and disasters.

Shepherd financially supports LOZA Foundation. The Foundation is helping the most vulnerable people in the poorest countries in Europe. Shepherd will on a long-term base support the Foundation financially and collaborate in specific projects in North Macedonia where our main production is. www.lozafoundation.org

3. Good health and well-being

By 2030, substantially reduce the number of deaths and illnesses from hazardous chemicals and air, water and soil pollution and contamination.

Shepherd products are safe to use and follows the regulations of REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restiction of Chemicals) and MRSL (Manufacturing Restricted Substances List)

6. Clean water and sanitation

By 2030, improve water quality by reducing pollution, eliminating dumping and minimizing release of hazardous chemicals and materials, halving the proportion of untreated wastewater and substantially increasing recycling and safe reuse globally.

Shepherd and our supplier are currently upgrading a modern wastewater treatment plant at our factory in North Macedonia. By doing this we can partly reuse water and reduce the water consumption.

8. Decent work and economic growth

Achieve higher levels of economic productivity through diversification, technological upgrading and innovation, including through a focus on high-value added and labour-intensive sectors.

Shepherd invests annually in machinery, buildings and sanitation. The goal is to streamline production by replacing certain moments that are done by hand with modern machines to favour the ergonomics.

By 2030, achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including for young people and persons with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value.

Shepherd has established a Code of Conduct, which is based on the ILO convention. We only do business with suppliers that agree to follow our Shepherd Code of Conduct.
